The Candidates Website provides information about the individuals who have been selected by FSMB's Nominating Committee for nomination to FSMB offices. The candidates have provided a personal statement regarding their interest in FSMB, why the organization is important to them and how they meet the core competencies expected of candidates.
To meet the core competencies, candidates should:
Support the mission, vision and core values of the FSMB;
Possess a positive outlook on the role and function of state medical boards in the medical regulatory field;
Bring a broad, national perspective to specific issues;
Have adequate time and commitment necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the office; and
Demonstrate personal integrity.
Elections will take place May 3, 2008 during the House of Delegates annual business meeting, held in conjunction with the FSMB's Annual Meeting May 1-3 in San Antonio, Texas.
