FPDC History
For nearly a century the Federation has collected and reported actions taken against physicians by its member boards. In the early years, actions were limited and were published in the Federation Bulletin. In response to the increasing rigor and complexity of physician regulation and to increases in the number of physicians and board actions reported, the Federation systematized its board action data files in the 1960s.
Today, information is processed and distributed through sophisticated web-based servers to provide the most effective and efficient services possible.
