Facing Fears: Pain, Medication and End-of-Life Care

The Federation of State Medical Boards hosted a discussion session at its 2003 Annual Meeting covering the important topic of treating intractable pain and end-of-life pain. The discussion, moderated by Arthur Miller, J.D., of Fred Friendly Seminars, took panelists through a series of challenging hypothetical situations involving patients with pain in cases where the right answer is not always clear. Copies of this stimulating and spirited discussion can be purchased from the FSMB for $15 each and include a special companion booklet. To purchase, please contact the FSMB at (817) 868-4000 or e-mail your request to pubs@fsmb.org. You will need the Quicktime plugin to view the segments below, and a broadband connection is highly recommended. If you don't have the Quicktime plugin, you can download it here.
