The Federation of State Medical Boards hosted a discussion session at its 2003 Annual Meeting covering the important topic of treating intractable pain and end-of-life pain. The discussion, moderated by Arthur Miller, J.D., of Fred Friendly Seminars, took panelists through a series of challenging hypothetical situations involving patients with pain in cases where the right answer is not always clear.
