Haiti Recovery: How You Can Help

As Haiti struggles to recover after the earthquake, FSMB is providing resources and updates for state medical boards.

Families of Americans living in Haiti who are trying to find the status of their loved ones are encouraged to contact the State Department at: 1-888-407-4747 

Cash Donations
Cash donations are the most efficient and effective way to help the relief effort in Haiti right now. To donate: www.usaid.gov/our_work/humanitarian_assistance/disaster_assistance/help/advantages.html

You can immediately donate to the Red Cross to assist the relief effort. Contribute online to the Red Cross: http://american.redcross.org/supporthaiti

Or, donate $10 to be charged to your cell phone bill by texting "HAITI" to "90999."

Organizations and physicians interested in assisting in the relief efforts in Haiti can register with the Center for International Development Information. This database will be used to contact organizations and individuals as assistance is needed. Register at www.cidi.org.
