2012 Board Attorneys Workshop
November 1 — 2, 2012
Designed specifically for attorneys and legal staff of state medical and osteopathic boards, including individuals involved with the investigation and prosecution of physician licensure and disciplinary cases, the FSMB's Board Attorneys Workshop provides participants with the opportunity to share and exchange valuable information on case experiences, best practices and current issues pertinent to board attorneys.
Upon completion of this educational activity, attendees will be able to:
- Identify and discuss dynamics and legal issues that may influence how medical and osteopathic boards discipline physicians in the future.
- Describe strategies used by medical and osteopathic board attorneys to protect the public.
- Investigate options for improving state medical and osteopathic boards' performance and effectiveness in protecting the public.

Registration Fee & Cancellations
For medical board legal counsel and staff, there is no registration fee. The non-board legal staff fee is $795. The CLE processing fee for both board and non-board attendees is $15.00. Registration may be paid by credit card or check. Accepted credit cards include: Visa and MasterCard. If paying by check, please make your check payable to FSMB and note “2012 Board Attorneys Workshop” on your check. If paying for multiple registrations via check, list the full name of each attendee.

Registration cancellations must be received by FSMB no later than October 24, 2012. No refunds will be provided after this date, and attendees are responsible for cancelling all flight and hotel arrangements.

Continuing Legal Education Credits
The 2012 FSMB Board Attorneys Workshop has been approved by the Louisiana Supreme Court's Committee on Mandatory Continuing Legal Education for a total of 10.25 hours of credit (including 1.0 hours of ethics).
In order to receive credit, registered attorneys must sign the appropriate onsite attendance list(s) for accurate CLE reporting and record-keeping purposes. All attendance lists for credit will be available at the Registration Desk throughout the workshop. Please be sure to submit the CLE Application Documentation Fee of $15 by November 20, 2012.
