Collaborators
The FSMB and the NBME recognize that standardization of the assessment process; individualized, practice-relevant assessments; integration with educational programs and a cost-effective delivery model are essential to providing high-quality physician assessments. Collaboration with local programs allows for a more comprehensive assessment that can be tailored to the individual physician's practice and enables the physician to obtain assessment at a center that is more geographically convenient. Since the majority of collaborators are associated with medical schools and training programs, education and remediation can also be incorporated as part of the assessment process.
The PLAS currently provides or is working to establish collaborative relationships to provide assessment services to the following programs:
- Albany Medical College in New York
- Center for Personalized Education for Physicians (CPEP)
- Physician Assessment and Clinical Education Program (PACE) at the University of California, San Diego
- PMSCO Healthcare Consulting
- Texas A&M University
- University of Florida
- University of Wisconsin in Madison
Information about obtaining an assessment through these collaborators can be obtained directly from the programs through the contact information provided below. Information can also be obtained by contacting the PLAS at 817-868-4022, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (CST), or via e-mail at plas@fsmb.org.
