• Licensure Application: All Mississippi applicants must apply for a permanent Mississippi medical license before approval to sit for the USMLE Step 3 is given. Applicants may apply for Mississippi permanent licensure by accessing the board's website at: https://www.ms.gov/medical_licensure/renewal/init_app/instructional_page.jsp.
• Before the Mississippi Board will approve an application for USMLE Step 3, the applicant must have met the requirements for licensure in the state of Mississippi. However, eligibility for Step 3 does not signify eligibility for licensure.
• Request for official transcripts

Eligibility Requirements/Cancellation Policy If it is determined that you do not meet eligibility requirements at the time your application is received, or you decide to cancel your registration prior to approval, or your application is not complete by the published deadline date, your registration will be cancelled and a portion of the application fee withheld. The USMLE Step 3 fee is non-refundable and non-transferable from one eligibility period to another or from one application to another.
