Important Notes
The board shall grant an extension to an applicant who is licensed in good standing in another jurisdiction when the applicant has been granted an extension or waiver for the seven (7) years period in the other jurisdiction where the applicant is licensed while the applicant has been engaged in continuous training and practice: provided, further that the seven (7) years shall not run during any period in which the applicant actively served in the armed forces of the US while the applicant has been engaged in continuous training and practice; and provided, further, that in no event may an applicant take longer than ten (10) years to complete the required examinations pursuant to this sentence. (Note: If applicable, a notarized copy of the PhD degree must be submitted).

The USMLE Step 3 fee is non-refundable and non-transferable from one eligibility period to another or from one application to another.
