Eric M. Fish, JD

Eric Fish serves as the Chief Legal Officer of the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB). In this role, he serves as general counsel and legal advisor to the FSMB leadership. He also assists in the FSMB's federal and state advocacy efforts, drafting and analyzing legislation and serves as consultant on the development of model policies for state medical boards including the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact and telemedicine standards. Mr. Fish has been with the FSMB since 2013. 

Prior to joining the FSMB, Mr. Fish served as Legal Counsel and Senior Legislative Counsel at the Uniform Law Commission.  Mr. Fish received his B.A. with Honors in Political Science from the University of Chicago and his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he also served as Editor in Chief of the Loyola University of Chicago International Law Review.
