Since 1912, the FSMB has partnered with state medical boards to provide a centralized database of license and sanction information for the nation’s physicians – and more recently, physician assistants. Our team of data-quality specialists audits our provider profiles to ensure the information is both timely and accurate.
In addition to state medical boards, our data sources include the Department of Health and Human Services, the Drug Enforcement Administration, other federal regulatory agencies, and a growing list of international licensing authorities.
Simplifying the Credentialing Process
Offering streamlined access to essential data sources is what makes PDC profiles the go-to source for credentialing professionals seeking convenience and reliability. The PDC includes profiles for more than one million licensed providers. Our Standard Profile contains biographical information, license history, education and training, national identification numbers (when available).
Our Premium Profile includes the same data points as the Standard Profile, along with specialty board certification. The PDC is a designated equivalent source by the American Board of Medical Specialties.**
