Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission Elects New Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 3, 2019) – The Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission (IMLCC) has announced the election of several commissioners to new leadership positions. The elections took place at the IMLCC’s annual meeting. 

  • Commissioner Dr. Ken Simons from Wisconsin was elected Chair
  • Commissioner Dr. Claude Brunson from Mississippi was elected Vice Chair
  • Commissioner Edward Cousineau, JD from Nevada was elected Treasurer
  • Commissioner Diana Shepard, CMBE from West Virginia is now filling the role of Past Chair 

Twenty-five (25) states, Guam and the District of Columbia have enacted legislation to join the Compact. These states include Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
