FSMB Draft Reports: Request for Comments
FSMB is seeking comment on two draft reports that will be submitted for consideration by FSMB’s House of Delegates in April 2025. We kindly request that any feedback on the draft documents be submitted by February 21, 2025 through the feedback forms below.
Professionalism in the Context of Assessment and Licensure
This report was drafted by FSMB’s Ethics and Professionalism Committee, chaired by Christy Valentine Theard, MD, MBA. The Committee was tasked with studying current and best practices in professionalism across the continuum of medical education, balancing the need for collaboration and resource sharing during training and practice with the independence required in professional assessment and decision making.
Reentry to Practice
This report was drafted by FSMB’s Workgroup on Reentry to Practice, which was appointed in May 2023 by FSMB Past Chair Jeffrey Carter, MD, and continued by current FSMB Chair Katie Templeton, JD. The Workgroup, chaired by George M. Abraham, MD, MPH, was charged with updating current FSMB policies related to reentry to practice for state medical and osteopathic boards.
